Paynote supports five methods to onboard a customer’s bank account for ACH transactions. Choose the approach that best fits your integration, risk model, and user experience needs.
1. Plaid Authorization
A browser-based flow where customers connect their bank through Plaid. Plaid automatically selects the fastest available verification method: Instant Auth, Instant Match, Instant Micro-deposits, Same-Day Micro-deposits, Automated Micro-deposits, or Database Match.

2. Plaid Processor Token
Leverage your existing Plaid integration. Exchange a Plaid processor token for a Verified funding source.

3. Add Verified 3rd-Party Funding Source
Supply routing + account numbers already verified by your own service—instantly marked “Verified.”

4. Micro-Deposits
New micro-deposit initiations are no longer supported. For new bank account connections, use Plaid Authorization. Existing verified accounts and in-progress verifications are not affected.
Step-by-step verification using small test deposits:
- Create Funding Source (Unverified)
